Tom Cruise returns to his trusted Mission: Impossible franchise again this July with Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Will the latest installment be as successful as 2011's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol or will the property show some signs of aging? This week we take a look at the commercial prospects.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation
(Paramount)

PROS:

- Reaction to the first two trailers have been very enthusiastic.
- Tom Cruise is already generating plenty of publicity for his daring stunt on the side of an airplane.
- There's a ton of goodwill left over from the wildly popular Ghost Protocol. That film earned $695 million globally.

CONS:

- Another wave of negative press for Scientology hit recently, and that's never good for Cruise's image.
- A franchise as old as Mission: Impossible could start to drop with any film.
- Ant-Man and Pixels could steal away the attention of key male demos.

Check out our predictions for this film and others in the table below.
