Ready for another borderline-campy, female-skewing thriller? That's exactly what The Perfect Guy promises to be when it opens this September. Will it mark another hit for the genre or will it disappoint? BoxOffice takes a closer look at The Perfect Guy's commercial prospects.

The Perfect Guy
(Sony/Screen Gems)

PROS:

- This could connect with the same crowds that turned The Boy Next Door into a modest hit earlier this year.
- The folks at Sony definitely know how to market films like this. The studio has released a handful of successful titles in the genre.
- Reactions to the first trailer have been mostly positive.

CONS:

- There definitely seems to be a ceiling for films in this genre. Breakout potential appears limited.
- Opening against another thriller, The Visit, could prove difficult.

Check out predictions for these films and others in the table below.
